Spare sparrow time

Of course Urs Schmidli doesn't photograph only sparrows. But sparrows are close to his heart and he wants to give us a unique perspective about these birds.

Caribou (1977)

Kananginak Pootoogook (1935–2010) was an Inuit artist from Cape Dorset, Nunavut, Canada. He was involved with drawing and printmaking since the late 1950s. From the beginning he represented Arctic wildlife, often monumental in scale.

Kananginak Pootoogook is especially capable at drawing the many species of birds that frequent the Arctic.
