Betty Petit-Boni sleeps in a matchbox.

I like the idea that bunnies are girly and boyish at the same time. And a simple bow can change everything. I started a new series: Petit-Boni, sleeping in a matchbox.

I hand sew with felt. My bunnies fit tight in a small matchbox, measuring 2 x 1.5 inch (5 x 4 cm). Painted in acrylic. Decorated with original drawings. Signed.

Thank you for your interest in my work!

Each wire ring embraces one monster.

How to display my plushy work? I went to my first craft fair a few weeks ago, with 30 of my tiny mini monster plush. But I didn't figure how to present them. So I built 4 stands with iron wire, dived into pink styrofoam. Each wire ring embraces one monster. I think it's was smart idea; they were looking great.

Three little spy yetis surrounding the supplies I used.

Almost empty.

Filled with colorful cute little ones.

Here is a closer view of one of them. My Etsy shop - mimimatelot.etsy.com -- contains 20 tiny mini plushies just like this one. Be welcome to look at my work!

Happy Bunny Fan

Last spring, during hockey playoffs, I was with one of my best friends. We were going to a bar to see a hockey game (Montreal Canadiens vs Philadelphia Flyers -- we lost) on a big screen with beer. I told him I was to make an usual kind of sculpture: papier mâché bunny-sailors. My friend liked the idea and suddenly said:
- You should also make a Canadien fan bunny...
- Oh yes!

I drew this bunny a few months ago.

Tonight I photographed and colored the drawing with Photoshop. Thank you for your interest.

Beautiful bird died in my backyard last Monday.

Last Monday morning, my friend The Spanish Guy found this beautiful cardinal in my backyard, dead with open wings. Its head was buried in the snow.

Lundi matin dernier, mon ami Guy L'Espagnol a trouvé ce superbe cardinal mort dans ma cour, les ailes ouvertes. Sa tête était enterrée dans la neige.

Douze d'un coup. For twelve little girls from Quebec city, Canada.

My biggest custom order so far: Renée asked me to create twelve little plushies, dedicated to twelve little girls from Quebec city, Canada. What a fun request!

Now the twelve tiny creatures have a body. Although, their personality is not defined yet. They need to be identified with a unique: name, birth place, special sign, favorite meal, future profession. I think I'll ask soon my favorite Estonian baptizer to help me with this requisite step.

Soon. I mean before Christmas, of course.

Here is a closer view of one of them. We don't know anything about him, except that his temporary name is Number Two. Welcome.

The perfect object proportionally perceptible everywhere.

Which item is the same dimension around the world? Nail polish bottle? Candle? Pen? No, not really.

I was looking for something internationally known that would give an idea of how tall my sweet pink plushie monster is.

Yes, a lighter! What a great idea! A black lighter, oh yeah! Then the photo shoot just began, and my sweet pink plushie monster took place between two BIG objects used to light up cigarettes.

I love hand sewing with felt, and if you click HERE, you will see all of my mini creatures. Thank you.

Tähine Silmadega, the Starry Eyes.

One of my best friends gave an Estonian name to my mini plushies. He is very funny and we had a great time choosing different identities.

Why Estonian, you would ask? Because my friend and I are both fans of Russia, but we decided to 'avoid' the cyrillic alphabet. He then became an 'Estonian baptizer' .

Be pleased to meet Tähine Silmadega, the Starry Eyes.

He measures 1 7/8 inch.
